Point Q

Q.) When we are converted, we "have to" use God's Spirit as a tool to root out sin from our lives, that is what Christianity is all about. Christianity is not just about mouthing words:

When we are truly converted, we receive Ephesians 1:13-14,

God's Holy Spirit as a begettal,

and an "earnest" (down payment),

and a helping force, to assist us towards our inheriting eternal life

(we can lose that down payment and eternal life if we are disobedient Heb 10:26),

and as a tool to overcome sin with.

But what is it that we have to overcome? The clear answer, the "whole" answer is from the whole New Testament:

We have to walk as Jesus our example walked (1Jo. 2:6).

Follow in His steps, and overcome sin. That means follow in the ways and days of God, just as Jesus did. (When we fall short, Jesus' shed blood covers us, but His shed blood does not cover us if we do not follow and walk in Jesus' footsteps and walk as Jesus walked.

That means we are not to walk following Satan's days of Christmas, New Years, Lent, Easter, and Halloween

Remember it is "only" the overcomers (Rev. 2:11, 3:5) who will inherit eternal life, not those who just believe in Jesus.

Why do you call Me Lord, Lord and not do what I say?. (Luk 6:46)

Even the Devils all believe in Jesus and acknowledge Jesus as Lord.

Matthew 8:29

And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

But the Devils will "not" walk as Jesus walked,

because they are too lazy,

they think it is too hard, and because

they want their own way, or because

they believe the lies of their leader Lucifer the bringer of light, (just like today's false ministers), now renamed Satan.

James 2:19 & 24 "You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the devils believe and tremble….You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only." If all we do is believe, then we are no better than the devils.

The 4th Commandment is generally recognized as the test Commandment (Exo 16:4, 26-30, Exo. 31:17) (more on this later)

E.g.: 4th Commandment:

Once you believe that we must obey God, then you have to actually "DO"

"what" God says to do = Remember the Sabbath Day

"when" God says to do it = Saturday Sabbath,

"how" God says to do it = sundown to sundown, and

"the reason" God says to do it = faith without works is dead.

It is just that simple "if" you believe your Bible and not men.

Keeping Saturday is actually such a bonus, because you can rest "immediately" after 5 days of weekly labour.

You also are then refreshed to go water skiing/snow skiing (or whatever you choose), all day Sunday after resting on Saturday as God commands. So the Saturday rest becomes a super blessing, even in our society today.

Hurray, Hurray, but the key is: We are not "just to cheer" for Him, we are to labour and take the Kingdom by force.

Luke 16:16 "The law and the prophets lasted until John; but from then on the kingdom of God is proclaimed, and everyone who enters does so with violence.

with His sacrifice making up the difference when we fall short and miss the mark.

Again: "Know ye not that the "un"righteous will "not" inherit the Kingdom. ("emphasis" mine)

We have to follow what is written in the Bible just as Jesus did:

These pages are religious logs, also known as a WebLog, or Blog, by Lawrence A. Nowell totally independent.
This article was written also, because, many who I know through International Pharmaceuticals, are sick and dying, and have asked me:
"How" and "why", do you "Lawrence" have such faith, kindness, and confidence in God:
The answer is:

Do "you"
love God enough to do things "His" way?
