The Bible authors knew that the earth is flat.

The first creation story

Isaiah 40:22 describes the earth as a disc-shaped object and disks are FLAT, with the heavens spread out like a tent:

It is he that sitteth upon the circle [NOT ball] [disks “ARE” circular] of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Daniel 4:10–11 describes how, from a sufficiently high tree, one could see the entire earth:

Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great. The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth (Editor’s note: Trees at one time were over 1 mile high.)

Matthew 4:8 and Luke 4:5 describe how all the kingdoms of the world can be seen from a high mountain, which is only possible on a flat earth:

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Revelation 7:1 sees the earth as square, rather than circular, as in Isaiah:

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
