Christ’s Return Could Be Delayed Circa 14-15 Years

“IF” the Daily Sacrifices do NOT start this October 2026.

A Sermon on God’s Sovereign Timing, Deliverance, and Rest

And

Using the extra time to develop more “GODLY Character”.

For you will be judged by what you did! 2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body,

according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

So you have time left to do some good for others!

Text: 2 Kings 20:1-6 (with echoes in Isaiah 38)

“In those days Hezekiah became sick and was at the point of death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Set your house in order, for you shall die; you shall not recover.”’ Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, saying, ‘Now, O Lord, please remember how I have walked before you in faithfulness and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in your sight.’ And Hezekiah wept bitterly. And before Isaiah had gone out of the middle court, the word of the Lord came to him: ‘Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the leader of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you… and I will add fifteen years to your life. I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria…’” (ESV)

Brothers and sisters,

What if the timeline we thought was fixed… wasn’t? What if the Lord, in His mercy and sovereignty, extended the clock — not by days or months, but by circa 14-15 years — just as He once did for a desperate king who cried out from his deathbed?

Today we stand in a moment much like Hezekiah’s. Many faithful watchers have prayerfully studied the signs, the feasts, the generational markers, and the 2,000-year pattern from the cross, expecting the Lord’s return around 2033. Yet Lawrence a thoughtful student of prophecy, now senses a 15-year delay — shifting the horizon toward 2048, with a possible 7-year period beginning near 2041. “IF” the Daily Sacrifices do NOT start this October 2026.

Is this presumption? Or could it be the same merciful God who once added exactly 15 years to a man’s life, now extending the window of grace for His church and for the world?

1. The Pattern of 14: Deliverance

Scripture weaves a beautiful numerical thread through redemption history. The number 14 carries the strong symbolism of deliverance — God’s decisive rescue, often sealed with double completeness (2 × 7, where 7 speaks of divine perfection).

14 shouts: God delivers! He rescues from slavery, from death, from exile. He completes His redemptive work with divine assurance.

2. The Pattern of 15: Rest After Deliverance

Immediately following 14 comes 15 — the beautiful symbol of rest that flows from deliverance.

Deliverance (14) was answered with extended life and protection — 15 years of additional time. Rest followed rescue.

Hezekiah’s extra 15 years were real, measurable grace. But they also carried a sobering lesson: the added time included both blessing and testing. His son Manasseh was born in those years, and later pride led to consequences. Extended time is a gift — but it must be stewarded with humility and faithfulness.

3. Could the Lord Do It Again?

If God sovereignly added 15 years to one man’s life in response to tears and prayer, is it beyond Him to extend the prophetic clock as there is a delay Revelations 10:6 Revelation 10:6

ESV and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay.

For the sake of His greater purposes?

Some see the current season — with its wars, moral upheaval, technological acceleration, and signs in the heavens and on the earth — as pointing toward 2033. Others now discern a merciful delay of circa 14-15 years, pushing the return toward 2048.

Why? Perhaps to allow more souls to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Perhaps to complete the deliverance of Israel in a fuller way, as armies may yet surround Jerusalem (Luke 21:20) before the final rest. Perhaps to align with the next biblical year of release (Shemitah) around 20422043 — a time of debt cancellation, land rest, and divine reset that echoes the “rest” of number 15.

We do not set dates. Jesus Himself said no one knows the exact day or hour, though we can guess at the month and year. But the patterns are there for our encouragement:

Whether the Lord returns in the window of 2033 once expected, with the 7 years starting October 2026,

or whether He graciously grants circa 14-15 more years of harvest time, the message remains the same:

Watch. Pray. Live ready. Turn to the wall like Hezekiah. Pour out your heart. The same God who heard a dying king’s tears still hears His church today.

If a delay comes, do not grow weary in well-doing. Use the extra time for bold witness, holy living, to further develop your Godly character that you will be judged by, and fervent prayer for the peace of Jerusalem and the salvation of the nations.

If He comes sooner — Maranatha! Even so, come Lord Jesus.

But if He tarries — and the clock shifts by about 14-15 years — remember this: It is not slackness. It is mercy. It is the same sovereign hand that added 15 years to Hezekiah, now extending the day of grace so that more might be delivered and enter His rest.

May the Lord find us faithful — whether He comes in 2033, 2048.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:20-21

If the Spirit is speaking to you today about your stewarding whatever time remains, respond now in prayer or commitment. The Deliverer is faithful — and the rest that follows will be glorious.

1 Peter 4:10

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

Galatians 6:2

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Romans 12:10

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

John 13:34-35

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.”

Closing Prayer Heavenly Father, You are the God who delivers (14 years) and then grants rest (15 years). You heard Hezekiah’s tears and added 15 years. If it pleases You to extend the time before Your Son’s return — whether by a few years or circa 14-15 — give us grace to use every moment for Your glory.

Prepare Your bride.

Strengthen your called out ones.

Hasten the day when every knee bows and every tongue confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Until then, help us watch with hope, not with fear.

And while we are busy in the duties of our different stations of life; whatever labours may try us, whatever difficulties may surround us, whatever sorrows may press us down, let us REMEMBER our Lord proclaiming:

Behold, I come quickly; I come to put an end to the labour and suffering of my servants.

I come, and my reward is with me, to recompense, with royal bounty, every work of faith and labour of love. I come to receive my faithful, persevering people to myself, for all to dwell peacefully for ever in a blissful NEW world. Let it be so; In the name of the coming King. Amain.
