Before the Israelites went into Babylon, the Scriptures only had four months of the calendar identified by name. The others just had numbers.

Aviv The first month. Pagan name Nissan
Ziv the second month. Pagan name Iyar
Eitanim the seventh month. Pagan name Tishrei.
Bul the eighth month. Pagan name Chesvan.

Before going into Babylon the months were counted in numeric order starting from Aviv.

Therefore any time a person mentioned the number of a month he was recalling the Exodus from Egypt. Egg: If you are in the 9th month= you are nine months from the Exodus from Egypt. The numeric naming served as a constant reminder of the deliverance from Egypt.

But after being delivered from Egyptian captivity and being in other Pagan lands, the Israelites started using the Pagan names of the months of the Pagan countries that they were in.

We as Christians should only use the 4 original month names that are in God’s Bible, and use numbers for the rest of God’s months= do NOT use Pagan Names for months.
