You "MUST" buy this AR3000A Model of Scanner

because

there will be NO cell phones nor landline= NO house nor phones of any kind, no TV, no Internet, no radio stations available

when we are ALL in/under LOCKDOWN under FOREIGN Martial Law

WE ARE INVADED.

This receiver/SCANNER PICKS UP “EVERYTHING” THAT STILL EXISTS

AND has even picked up Airforce 1, the President of the USA’s communications.

There will only be Government Military Communication.

And this is the “ONLY” way you will know what is going on.

By being able to listen to the Military.

This receiver/SCANNER will pick up any kind/type of Signal that is in Range of you antennae. This even picked up Airforce 1, the President of the USA’s communications.

This AR3000A receiver is also capable of being controlled using a computer and software, and some owners prefer to operate the receiver in this manner using a keyboard and mouse.  Third party software can be purchased from a couple of sellers.

Anyone who owns an AOR (Authority on Radio) unit will tell you how well made they are.  The manufacturer, AOR, is an abbreviation that represents "Authority On Radios".  In looking at the receiver, you will notice it's unusual shape.  This is a design by AOR that allows the receiver display readout to be viewed effectively from a tabletop or mobile position.  Many of these 3000A's have been installed in a vehicle over the years since they can receive so many different emergency channels, including amateur radio, shortwave signals, weather, etc., etc.

Due to the frequency spread of this receiver, it is common for use as a surveillance instrument.  This 3000A is equivalent to the government version as far as coverage and is unblocked giving full access to frequencies including those that you cannot hear otherwise.

To SURVIVE you “MUST” buy this AOR AR3000A scanning receiver that offers multi-mode capabilities along with an exceptional wide receiving range making this a very versatile unit.  It's small frame, and the fact that it operates off of 12 VDC, enables it to be used at home or for mobile use in a vehicle and it's "DC to Daylight" frequency range means that you will not yearn for signals to listen to.  This receiver was manufactured prior to the ban on blocking certain 800 MHz frequencies, is fully legal in its design, and so there are no gaps in the frequency coverage!

We have sold a number of these AR3000A's here on eBay, but it is not common for us to offer this receiver and the last one that we offered for sale was 2 years ago.

This AOR AR3000A receiver is used and there are some minor marks from prior ownership and so we encourage you to please look carefully at our pictures to see precise cosmetic detail.  None of the cosmetic marks are bad, but this is not a pristine receiver and the unit appears to be in above average cosmetic condition.

This scanning receiver has been tested using a variety of functions, features and controls over various tuning bands and receiving modes and operates perfectly and as designed.  You will not be disappointed in this AR3000A receiver that originally carried a retail price of $1350 when new.

The AR3000A comes with an AC power adapter, telescopic antenna, RS-252 adapter, and plug with proper pin inserts to enable access to other functions and features such as external computer control.  While we are including a small telescopic antenna, we suggest that for best reception, a discone antenna be used... if possible.  If such antenna can be located outside, so much the better for maximizing the amount of signals that you will hear.

In addition, the buyer will also receive the following documents:

Let us now take a bit of time and describe the virtues of this particular receiver.

This receiver is capable of receiving virtually all the analog communications that exist between 100 KHz and 2036 MHz if you are within receiving range and have the proper antenna attached.  As such, this receiver is comprehensive and can receive analog signals of:

·         longwave

·         AM broadcasts

·         marine communications

·         amateur radio bands

·         aircraft and ground control

·         fire

·         police

·         EMS other emergency personnel

·         Prison, university, hotel, stadium and other security

·         wireless microphones

·         railroads

·         road crews

·         National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Service weather broadcasts

·         FM radio

·         Ham radio 10, 6, and 2 meter communications

·         TV audio channels 1 thru 69

·         CB radio

·         analog cordless phones

·         air to ground telephone

·         marine radio broadcasts

·         US Coast Guard

·         GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service)

·         FRS or family handheld units

·         military emergency guard

·         strategic air command

·         search and rescue

·         helicopters and Unicom

·         business frequencies

·         drive thru fast food

·         Border Patrol

·         news media

·         US Customs

·         ATF frequencies

·         and the FBI

Satellite or NASA transmissions, if you live in the vicinity and have the right antenna, this is another possibility for reception.

If you are tired of owning a scanner that only picks up certain bands or certain frequencies, then this scanner will trump about anything you can imagine.  Electronically the unit works perfectly...all the controls function as they should and we were able to pick up good reception by punching in various frequencies across a spectrum of bands.  Keep in mind that you will be limited by the transmission power and range of the originating broadcast and by the receiving antenna that you have connected to the 3000A.

We formerly owned a handheld Icom IC-R1 that we purchased some years ago. It did not have the range as the AR3000A, but with that handheld scanner, we have picked up Lifeflight helicopters, Rockview State Prison chatter, Lock Haven University's Maintenance Dept., Penn State University's football stadium security, and even Air Force 1 in addition to all the typical communications.  That's right, a few years ago, when Bill Clinton was in office, AF1 landed at Centre Community Airport on open channel.  Just before AF1 landed, all the bands went dead as everyone went silent for security reasons.  Ground communications with the Secret Service were encrypted so we could hear but not decipher them.  But soon after landing, the channels were all alive once again with police and security transmissions.  That was on a tiny handheld unit that did not have the sophistication of this AOR 3000A receiver.  This AOR 3000A can receive so many broadcasts that you will sit for hours and listen in to a world that you never knew existed in radio reception.

We have sat in our office chair and played with another unit in prior years of the AOR 3000A receiver and gone from a NOAA weather broadcast on 162.400 in State College, PA, to TV channel 10 In Altoona at 197.750 to the local State College Ham 2 meter on 146.850.  During snowstorms, we can dial in the PennDot (Penna Dept. Of Transportation) road crews on 47.300 chatting about road clearing during the storm.  On the night of one snowstorm, the local fire whistle went off so we tuned into 154.070 to get information on the fire dept call out.  We then punched in the frequencies for the local PBS station at 91.5 MHz to get the news.  This is the versatility of using this wideband receiver!

The AOR 3000A is not only a receiver, but a scanner with 400 memory channels.  You can spin the dial to get a frequency, direct dial with the keyboard, or scan to a frequency.  Since you can scan, you can locate unknown transmissions or enter known frequencies that you want to monitor by setting band parameters and scanning for signals.  There is a priority channel that will come alive if you are listening elsewhere when a signal is transmitted.  This receiver can also pick up lower and upper sideband transmissions.

We encourage you to do some research and find out what this receiver is capable of and what it can pick up!  Since this receiver was a popular one for AOR, many past users have played with their 3000A's to tweak its features. There are modifications online (MODS) to increase scan speed up from its speed of 50 ch/sec, double the number of memory channels to 800 and many more, if you like to experiment to improve.  These MODS are free to those who search for them in Google and generally will give you a step by step through the MOD process.
