August 20, 2011, Sermon Transcript
By Lawrence A. Nowell
1.)
The Obedient Church of
God is the only congregation in the world that has been shown through our
correspondence that the International Date Line in the Pacific Ocean causes
people to celebrate the seventh-day Sabbath on the sixth day of the week.
2.)
TOCOG has 100 brethren
in Pakistan who are observing Sunday, the correct time to observe the Sabbath,
because west of the IDL time has been moved ahead 24 hours.
3.)
The humble Obedient
Church of God is setting the record straight for the whole world.
All through Asia no other
congregation, no Jewish Rabbis and synagogues observe the correct day for the
Sabbath for half of the world, which was started in 1881.
4.)
There is a special work
going on. The Obedient Church of God is not putting out any of the falsehoods
that that leaders of other churches put up with.
5.)
Some think that Christ
will restore all things, but before He arrives Elisha will restore all things.
So we’ll see where all this leads.
6.)
God wants us to set
people free from observing Devil Days: Father’s Day and Mother’s Day as most of
the ex-Worldwide Church of God members are doing.
7.)
Sky Father’s Day is the
longest day of the year as Christmas is the shortest day of the year. They
realize that Christmas is pagan, but they will observe Sky Father’s Day that
honors pagan gods. They need to know that they both are of pagan origin. Wake
up!
8.)
God’s people cannot have
any of Satan’s pagan days. They must observe God’s days.
9.)
Now Purim wasn’t a holy
day at all. It was a victory celebration that is remembered.
10.)
Thanksgiving Day goes
back to the earliest records in honor of Osiris-Ra when a goose gave up its
life to the hunter to protect its young. Egyptians worshipped Osiris-Ra.
11.)
Bradford and his group
celebrated with the native people for three days.
12.)
God’s people cannot go
to restaurants to buy food on the Sabbath Day and hire people to work for them.
Buying and selling on the Sabbath is the “mark of the beast.”
13.)
Let’s not turn to folly,
which is “contemptuous disregard of holy things.”
14.)
Psalms 85:8 KJV says, “I will hear what God the Lord will say: for he
will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn
again to folly. World’s holidays.
15.)
In the BEV the word
“folly” is “foolish ways.”
16.)
The NRSV tells that
God “will speak peace to his people, to his faithful, to those who turn to him
with their hearts.” And the Catholic
Bible words it, “He will speak peace to
them converted to the heart.” Peace comes to the converted of their hearts.
17.)
Those who observe these
pagan days of Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Turkey day, and moving the Sabbath
day to the sixth day in half the whole world, are turning to folly.
18.)
When Elisha was going
through the woods he was harassed by 42 young men (adults), and two bears came
out of the woods and tore them.
19.)
Bear Note:
The “two witnesses” will maul the people (like the two she-bears) in the world
for 42 months because they won’t repent of their pagan practices.
20.)
Mr. Lawrence A. Nowell
has a bear that has stepped on a gnome. It is stomping out pagan practices. It
is easy to remember the bear holding up his paw to see bottom.
21.)
TOCOG will be teaching
this message to the whole world; it is the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven. We
are not going to heaven. We only go to heaven in vision. Jesus Christ’s Kingdom
will be here on earth. Later, the
Father will come to earth.
22.)
TOCOG has a goal: to
turn the hearts away from the bad and to the Father. Let your relatives have a
witness to know what is pagan when they come to you. They will be coming up in
the second resurrection anyway and they’ll know what Father expected
23.)
People won’t get the
message unless we tell it over and over again. On all the pagan days, TOCOG
brethren will work as they would on regular work days.
24.)
The world is rapidly
headed for a collapse. We should be buying 5 gallon pails to put rice in and
then bury them somewhere. Prepare for food storage now.
25.)
Prepare as things move
on and get rough for a calamity in 2 or 3 years. Prepare!
26.)
The thing about Lover’s
Lane in Townsend, Tennessee, it divides into two roads so it is like the Y with
two branches, which represents Yahveh’s name, beginning with the yod in the
tetragramaton (yhvh). There is significance there.
27.)
Mr. Lawrence A. Nowell
is like” morning dew” to God’s people because he does love the ex-Worldwiders
who need tender loving care. He would love to have them all be here with The
Obedient Church of God. They would have to give up pagan ways if they want to find
out what the truth is.
28.)
Recently, we learned
that when we pray we are to raise our hands and go outward to Father who is our
friend, not inward toward self.
29.)
Using prayer shawls
wrapped around the body to drape over one’s face and go inward is what the
Hindus do, as a comforting device. We
don’t hide from Father.
30.)
We are supposed to face
the Father person to person in conversation. Our comforting device is Father
around us because we follow God’s laws.
31.)
Last week we learned about the new crescent
moons and we refuse to work on holy feast days this year.
32.)
For you who don’t want
to follow God’s ways, read James 5:1. “Go to now, you rich men, weep and howl (wail) for
your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted and your
garments are moth-eaten.”
33.)
Ezekiel 7:26 says, “Mischief (disaster) will come upon mischief,
and rumor upon rumor, then shall they seek a vision of the prophet, but the law
shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.” (The law will be
lost!)
34.)
Those who are not
following the crescent moon calendar, and have added to God’s holy days have
lost the law. They are rats.
35.)
A news clip from the
Irish Times says there is a 100 pound giant South American rat that is loose in
the United States. It was spotted in a waste water facility in California
before disappearing in the brush. The world’s largest rat feeds on vegetation.
It can hold its breath for five minutes under water.
36.)
We want to follow The
Obedient Church of God and we can be converted to the truth, to following every
jot and tittle of God’s ways, Yeshua’s ways. Stop pagan ways.
37.)
As a side bar, the Jews
looked down on the Gentiles as unclean because of what the Gentiles did. They
had swine practices from their pagan religion, which Jews avoided.
38.)
There are Gentiles who
God the Father allows to be converted because they are willing to give up the
pagan holidays and they will be kept out of the fire.
39.)
Ex-Worldwiders must give
up their swine pagan practices. Remember the ministers over the sheep are the
wolves disobeying the laws and they need to repent.
40.)
Trust in Father and do
good things and He will reward you for your faithfulness.
41.)
Psalms 37:3 says, “Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shall you
dwell in the land, and verily (truly) you shall be fed.” (enjoy security, safety)
42.)
Verse 4 continues, “Delight yourself also in the Lord; and He
shall give you the desires of your heart.” (Enjoy plenty in the day of famine.)
43.)
Psalms 37:18-19 says, “The Lord knows the days of the upright…they
shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be
satisfied.”
44.)
Mr. Nowell’s parsonage
trailer is ready to go, ready to move out before the court date. It has two
cables around the belly of the 80 foot trailer to take it up on a steep high
hill in Townsend. He has a caterpillar tractor operator willing to take it up.
45.)
The top of the hill area
is 1400 feet high. And 200 feet below the Parsonage is the Meeting Hall with
two pillars on front. Its costing a fortune to develop the hill.
46.)
The Fall Festival Sukkah
will be held on top of the hill where it will be wonderful. The last 200 feet
is steep. Cables hauling a cart will pull people up to the top.
47.)
The righteous people
have love in their hearts for Father and Yeshua and delight themselves in the
Lord, because they focus their eyes on Yeshua and walk in His ways. The wicked
people are not living.
48.)
Bear Note:
A time is coming when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in
truth. They are the king of worshippers Father seeks.
49.)
No matter what troubles
are around us, continue to live the Lord’s way. TOCOG is here to help people to
fulfill the scripture of John 4:23-24.
50.)
There isn’t any way to
get around that we will not use any of the world’s pagan days. We must commit
our ways to the Lord while living in the midst of evil doers. We have to live
correctly in order to be able to teach others. Philippians 4:4 tells us to
“Rejoice in the Lord always: …rejoice.”
51.)
Psalms 37:5-6 KJV says, “Commit your way unto the Lord; trust also in
him; and he shall bring it to pass (he will act). And He shall bring forth your
righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noonday.”
52.)
Psalms 37:6 NRSV says, “He will make your vindication shine like the
light and the justice of your cause like the noonday.” Verse 7 tells us
to wait patiently for the Lord.
53.)
Psalms 37:5-7 REB says, “Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him and
he will act. He will make your righteousness shine clear as the day and the
justice of your cause like the brightness of noon. Wait quietly for the Lord,
be patient until he comes.”
54.)
The Lord gives The
Obedient Church of God enough money to take care of its expenses, enough to get
by. Psalms 37:16 says, “A little that a righteous man has is better
than the riches of many wicked.”
55.)
Psalms 37:23-24 also say, “The steps of a good man are ordered
(established) by the Lord: and he delighted in his way. Though he fall, he
shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” The
righteous are not forsaken.
56.)
Today we learn the power
of love.
57.)
1, Bear Note: My task is not to speak for love, but it is my duty to seek and find
all barriers within myself that I have built against receiving love, and get
rid of them.
58.)
Learn to love others
without having any major catastrophes (arguments). It takes ten good things to
try to erase that one bad thing that was said.
59.)
2. God spelled backward
is “dog” that gives unconditional love to its owner. Father wants us to have
faithful unconditional love.
60.)
Bear Note:
Love yourself so you can love another. Have high respect for yourself.
Love
is self-awareness.
61.)
3. Love is not something
we have, but something we do according to Bible rules.
62.)
Bear Note: To be
mentally healthy and happy, value and accept yourself. Watch your habits of eating well and
exercising so you have physical health. Care about your appearance and take
care of your financial needs. See yourself as a valuable person.
63.)
4. Bear Note: Set yourself on reasonable standards. Set goals
that you can reach so you can encourage yourself to do what is right.
64.)
Converse with people in
a kind way. Watch your words. They can ruin a desired relationship for life. We
are to remember to give forgiveness when asked for it. But if you engage in a competitive
act, you will have to distance yourself from that.
65.)
Lovers don’t fight with
each other. They both bear things all along by the way they act toward each
other.
66.)
The point is you have to
love yourself in order for others to love you.
67.)
As encouragement, there
is a new race of people being begotten; we are a new race of God-beings which
will be with Yeshua who has been raised from the dead. A whole new race is
preparing to be born into spirit beings when Christ returns to earth
68.)
Yeshua is the first fruit,
and we are among the first fruits who will meet him in the air. We are
important. This is the way we’ll be able to balance ourselves.
69.)
The world is turning
violent. In the London riots 5 have been killed, a hundred injured and
thousands arrested. They were caused by desperation: people need jobs.
All
of the world will be falling apart. There will be riots in the United States
also.
70.)
In weather events the
climate is falling apart. Texas has had no rain and it is turning into a
desert. The plants are dead and can’t put moisture back into the air.
71.)
The world is headed to
the road toward the start of the last seven years, so we will see what happens
this fall. They are already setting up for the New World Order.
72.)
A country that was
peaceful and gentle, namely Norway, has had a provocature kill 95 people.
Now there will be more security to see what everyone is doing.
73.)
People in the world know
something is going on. There is weather panic because of several hurricanes and
tornadoes recently. It is global pollution, which is the same as seven
volcanoes going off each day. Perilous times are coming.
74.)
Mr. Nowell told us that
chemical trails were not in the skies for the last two weeks and the
temperatures were 95-100 degrees. And now that the chemical trails are back, the
temperatures are in the 90s.
75.)
There will come a point
where the chemical trails won’t bring down the temperatures.
76.)
The Obedient Church of
God wants to teach us how to pray. TOCOG has shown us how we hold up our hands
to the Father, our heads are bowed, eyes are closed.
77.)
Bear Note:
Prayer is our life line. We want to be giving Father praise and thanks. And we
tell him our thoughts, our desires, our hurts, and our problems.
78.)
The “Lord’s Prayer” that is recorded in Matthew 6 set an example to teach
the disciples how to pray.
79.)
In answer to our pray God’s help may come in
stages, although it can come instantly.
80.)
The moving process to
Mr. Nowell’s new location has been going on for the last three months, and
things keep getting in the way. After having
been given an eviction notice by the trailer park owners, Lawrence A.
Nowell was given a court order to move. A lawyer would cost between $2500 to
3000.
81.)
For the court order it
cost Mr. Nowell money because he had to hire a lawyer. Interestingly, Mr.
Nowell was going to be moving anyway, but they didn’t know that. The point is
God helps us in stages.
82.)
Our request to Father
may have an impact on the lives of many, both now and in the future. Because
many may be involved, an answer to prayer may not come the same second as it
was asked. We cast all our cares upon Father.
83.)
Bear Note:
The tide has turned the very moment we have requested something of Father, but
his help may come in stages. The Holy Spirit may be relied upon totally.
84.)
And the Father has
concern for us and needs to show us how to live His way. When we ask Him how to live His way, He is
quick to respond. We must change.
85.)
We need to look at our
own lives to see how we are living. He’ll let brats wallow in their own dirt,
if they are determined to be disobedient, and don’t ask to change.
86.)
Go to the Father for He
is merciful. Say your words once to the Father when we pray. We don’t repeat
the same words over and over again, like using rosary beads.
87.)
Bear Note:
Don’t bore God. After we have talked to Him about our problems, we don’t make
the prayer lengthy. We can rephrase
words rather than repeat them.
88.)
We can have an
intelligent conversation with Father by having something to say. When we study
the Bible we can ask for inspiration to be able to understand meaning
89.)
This is how to have a
conversation with Father. It is a powerful relationship.
90.)
Bear Note:
My prayer life is to develop a relationship with Father in terms of me having a
friend. This has power. I need to develop a relationship with Father through my
phrasing of the prayer. Rather than repeat words verbatim, we rephrase
them.
91.)
I can discuss things
with Father the same way I would talk to a child. And we are his children and
He loves us and we love Him. He has kept us alive for a purpose.
92.)
In the days of Moses the people didn’t see
him coming down from the Mountain of God, so they had Aaron make a moulten calf
and they worshipped it. God wanted to destroy the whole nation of Israel, but
Moses pleaded with God.
93.)
Exodus 32:9-10 said that the Lord saw that they were a stiff-necked people and in His wrath the Lord wanted to
consume them and make of Moses a great nation.
94.)
In Exodus 32:11-12
“Moses besought the Lord his God, and said, ‘Lord why does your wrath wax hot
against your people, which you have brought forth out of the land of Egypt with
great power, and with a mighty hand?
95.)
“ ‘Wherefore should Egyptians speak and say,
For mischief did he (God) bring them out to slay them in the mountains. Turn
from your fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against your people…’ And the
Lord repented of the evil which he thought.”
96.)
Moses engaged in an
important conversation with God. Moses proposed solutions to Father. He bonded
with the Father.
97.)
Bear Note:
By an intelligent conversation is how we bond with Father. Talk to Father on
how to solve problems in your life.
98.)
Why would the Egyptians
say that He (God) brought them out to kill them in the mountains, to consume
them from the face of the earth? Moses had a good thought.
99.)
Moses continued his
conversation with Father. “Remember (God) Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own
self, and said unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and
all this land that I have spoken of will I give to your seed, and they shall
inherit it forever.” Exodus 32:13
100.)
Bear Note:
From the deepest part of your heart, converse in prayer on a one to one
conversation with Father, the only person who can help. Prayer builds a bond.
101.)
Among the Israelites
there were 600,000 men, over a half million able-bodied men plus women and
children to make 1 ½ million people. Exodus
12:37
With
one single prayer Moses saved their lives. He spoke with a logical alternative,
a logical analysis, and the Egyptians would have mocked Father.
102.)
Bear Note:
If you don’t hear that little voice inside you, giving you divine
guidance—thoughts that are according to the Bible—something is wrong and you
better get rebaptized. God’s Holy Spirit will lead you.
103.)
Bear Note:
Every time we pray, ask God for new Godly knowledge to come into our minds so
that we can grow mentally. Put intelligence in our prayers on our intelligence
level. And scripture tells us to grow in grace as well as knowledge.
104.)
Have warmth and
affection for others and have a kind and gentle spirit. Have a humble, contrite
spirit of heart.
105.)
Bear Note:
If we want to experience an instantaneous jolt of God’s great love, pray for
another person. Thank Father for the opportunity to help one of God’s children
relieve pain and suffering.
106.)
Be grateful to God for giving us the opportunity
to help another person. Bring God’s
knowledge into other people’s lives and also help the people physically. It’s
an opportunity for us to be able to help relieve the aches and pain of our
fellowman as much as we are able. This is important.
107.)
Any charitable act is an
act of thanks and praise of God. No good deed will go unnoticed.
108.)
Tell God in prayer we are grateful for Him.
We are practicing what we preach. When we do this,
we are able to have a more wholesome relationship with Father.
109.)
We need to pray more?
Why don’t we?
110.)
1.) We are too busy to
spend time in prayer, so we put prayer out of our minds. Don’t put prayer off until after dinner or
at bedtime when we are sleepy. By that time we’ve forgotten the important
issues, the salient points.
111.)
Pray in the beginning of the day while we are
alert and all day long. We can pray while we are traveling along, walking or
driving. We must pray to Father every day.
112.)
2.) When we pray for
solutions to our problems, we want instant gratification so we look for
immediate results. Don’t give up on prayer if answers don’t appear.
113.)
As soon as we pray a
solution is on its way, but answers may come in stages.
Give
praise to God and thank Him for His blessings.
114.)
3.) Some people have the
attitude that prayer isn’t effective. Scientifically, it has been proven that
prayer has results. Sick people who had someone praying for them, whether they
knew it or not, got well to a greater degree than others who did not receive
prayers at all.
115.)
4.) Don’t feel
uncomfortable about talking to God about any issue in your life, no matter what
it is. Bringing your problem to Father is the only way we can make progress in
overcoming it.
116.)
Because of shame and
guilt, people don’t open up their hearts with Father at the
appropriate time, so don’t wreck your relationship with Father if you don’t
express everything to Father. Share all your problems with your best friend.
117.)
Yeshua learned about the
whole gamut of human experience. It included all sorts of problems, including
masturbation. God even works with unconverted people.
118.)
By discussing everything
with Father, this is how we have a relationship with him. Share everything with Father because He is
our best friend. Believe He will help us.
119.)
Bear Note:
If we don’t share everything with Father we don’t have a best friend. How can
we have Father as our best friend if we don’t share everything with Him?
120.)
Prayer opens the door
way into throne room so we can visit with Him in heaven.
121.)
Father is looking after
us, and we have angels about us. God commands angels to watch after certain
situations so we don’t get hurt.
122.)
Bear Note:
Pray when we are in trouble, or in a bad situation. Extra angels arrive
instantly in answer to prayer. And that’s when the solution starts. The process
may take time but it has begun.
123.)
Psalms 95:2 “Let us come before His presence with
thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.” Be
grateful for things we do have. If we are dying of cancer give thanks for
things we did have, and things we do have.
124.)
Ephesians 5:20 says, “Giving thanks always for all things
unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
125.)
I Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give thanks for this
is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
126.)
Psalms 100:4 “Enter into his gate (when you say
prayers) with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful
to him, and bless his name.”
127.)
Hebrews 13:15 KJV “By him (Jesus) therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise
to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to
his name.”
128.)
“But to do good and to
communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” Verse 16
129.)
Hebrews 13:15 REBV
“Through Jesus let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that
is, the tribute of lips which acknowledge his name.”
130.)
Bear Note:
Praise Father for He sustains us with every breath.
131.)
Pray for Father to open
a channel for blessing me.
132.)
Why is so much prayer
never answered? Because people center on the problem and tell God what to do,
thinking only of themselves.
133.)
Bear Note:
When we bring a problem to Father, keep problem God-centered. Focus on God’s
way of solving the problem. Let Him handle it.
134.)
Have something to say.
Read thoughts of psalms. Find parallel verses and apply to your situation. Help
me to help others, interspersed with comments.
135.)
Bear Note:
Supplication is an honest and clear confession that you need His help.
136.)
Listen to the little
small voice telling you answers to your heart.
Mark 4:11 wrote, “To you the secret of the Kingdom of God has
been given…”
137.)
When you pray about an
issue a solution may come to you in an unexpected way
You’ll
be led to a particular point that will give the answer.
138.)
Do homework, do research
and an answer will come. Tell Father what you found. Yeshua dwells with you in
Spirit. Be receptive to Father’s words in order to receive the Holy Spirit and
hear God’s small voice.
139.)
If you have doubts take
it to Father in prayer and He will help you to make right decisions. Get a
relationship with Father. Pray with hands up.
140.)
Focus on God’s greatness
and what He would do in a situation. God lets us learn how to cope. He answers
problems with what is best for us to develop character.
