Did you know that the Bible teaches that all dead people from the time of Noah to today "are still in the ground as dust" waiting for their change to come?Then, some may ask: "Where are all the dead now?" The answer is that they are in the ground dust here on earth awaiting their change to come.(Job 14:14, Ecc. 9:5) That includes Noah, to Abraham to the Apostle Paul, to Mr. Armstrong, to Mother Theresa, to Ghandi, to Martin Luther King.
"All" are dead in the ground waiting for their change to come. What about Elijah though? The answer is that the Bible does not say Elijah went to Heaven (2Ki. 2:1, 11). The Bible states that Enoch was taken and not found (Heb. 11:5). This means that Elijah was transported/moved to another place on the Earth (2Chr. 21:12) and later died. How do we know that? Because Jesus was the "first" Firstborn (Col. 1:18) of the dead. Not the second born from the dead after Elijah or after anyone else from way back to the days of Noah, plus no one will be made alive until the first resurrection which only occurs when Jesus returns. But what about the rich man who asked for water for his tongue? The answer is that if he was truly alive on fire in hell he would not ask for a drop of water, but for a flood of water to douse the flames. He asked for a drop of water because his throat was dry at the terror and agony of seeing his fate.But what of the thief on the cross to whom Jesus said: Surely I say unto thee today, thou shalt be with me in Paradise. Notice that the Bible never had punctuation when written and that the correct punctuation is per the above, because Jesus Himself did not ascend to the Father till three days later, plus Jesus did "not" say to the thief that the thief would someday be in "Heaven", Jesus used the word for Paradise, not Heaven.
